Easter Break Information

EASTER BREAK
Halls close 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, and open noon, Monday, April 5. Students needing an extension must seek approval by the Student Life Office in the Student Union or call ext. 7500 by 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 30.  Students who fail to make arrangements will be charged a $25 fee with additional charges for each day and/or night on campus. 

As you prepare to leave campus, we need your assistance in securing the safety of your belongings during Easter Break. Please take the following precautions to safeguard your possessions from fire or theft over the break:

• unplug all electrical appliances: (fridges left on)
• secure window screens
• close and lock windows
• close miniblinds
• remove all trash and place in dumpster
• turn lights off
• shut and lock your door
   

Both Residence Life and the Security Department will insure that the exterior and interior doors of your residence hall are secured over the break.  For reasons of safety, security, and preventative maintenance, the residence hall staff and security may need to inspect rooms during the vacation period (Student Handbook, 56). 

RETURNING TO ATCHISON
Residence halls reopen on Monday April 5, 2010 at noon. Student Masses will resume with 9:30 p.m. Mass in St. Martin’s Chapel on April 5, 2010. The Café will close on Wednesday, March 31st, after supper and will reopen on Monday, April 5th, for dinner at 5:00 p.m. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
